“Break” screened at the Kansas City FilmFest International (KCFFI) on April 12. We were thrilled to be part of this vibrant event.
Just a few reasons why:
- Leading up to the festival, we received great communication from our KCFFI contact. I never had to reach out and ask for information. She even touched base a couple days before to be sure we knew the weather forecast had turned unseasonably frosty.
- On that note, all event staff were friendly and welcoming. The festival had a notably positive energy.
- We loved the thoughtful programming. “Break” led off a 90-minute block of shorts that dealt with love and relationships — all of which were so quality. We were honored to be among them.

- The audience asked great questions during the Q-and-A session. They were clearly film lovers, supportive and interested in the craft of filmmaking.
- The event venue, Cinemark Plaza, is welcoming, and it’s part of a charming and walkable neighborhood.
- Thoughtful details distinguished everything from the welcome baskets to the selection of food in the filmmakers lounge.
In short, it was lovely! If you have a chance to attend, I recommend you take it. 😎
