Six things to love about Kansas City FilmFest International

Six things to love about Kansas City FilmFest Internationalfeatured

“Break” screened at the Kansas City FilmFest International (KCFFI) on April 12. We were thrilled to be part of this vibrant event.

Just a few reasons why:

  • Leading up to the festival, we received great communication from our KCFFI contact. I never had to reach out and ask for information. She even touched base a couple days before to be sure we knew the weather forecast had turned unseasonably frosty.
  • On that note, all event staff were friendly and welcoming. The festival had a notably positive energy.
  • We loved the thoughtful programming. “Break” led off a 90-minute block of shorts that dealt with love and relationships — all of which were so quality. We were honored to be among them.

  • The audience asked great questions during the Q-and-A session. They were clearly film lovers, supportive and interested in the craft of filmmaking.
  • The event venue, Cinemark Plaza, is welcoming, and it’s part of a charming and walkable neighborhood.
  • Thoughtful details distinguished everything from the welcome baskets to the selection of food in the filmmakers lounge.

In short, it was lovely! If you have a chance to attend, I recommend you take it. 😎
